Our betting expert is sweet on a pair running at Newbury and also has a selection for the meeting at Doncaster.
1.40 Newbury: Hardy Boy
I tipped this horse up for Thursday, but he was taken out. Clearly, there is little wrong with him, and he looks to have a similar chance here.
Hardy Boy improved with racing last season and won a couple of hurdles in the spring. He looks to have followed a similar path this season, running himself into form over the winter and almost coming good last time.
Cheekpieces were applied last time and Hardy Boy got to within a nose of overhauling a back-to-form front-runner. He has been raised 3lb but Luca Morgan, who has won on him in the past, is able to claim 3lb in this race, so he will effectively be running off the same mark.

3.10 Doncaster: Stylish Moment
Lucinda Russell’s 10-year-old is not the quickest but is running off his lowest chase handicap mark since moving from Ireland and should get himself into a place at least here.
Stylist Moment is the minimum age you can be to run in a Veterans’ races and, with Patrick Wadge claiming 6lb, he may just have the legs of some of these. Wadge is a useful young rider who has done me a couple of big favours in the last couple of years. It’s only now that he is starting to get on a few mounts that have a decent chance and he generally makes the most of his opportunities.
Stylish Moment was given a quiet ride last time and stayed on into third place. With a little more oomph this time, he can be in the thick of things.
4.00 Newbury: Bothwell Bridge
It looks like Sean O’Briain’s claim is going to prove an asset for the short period he is going to have it. The young jockey has won a couple of races for Anthony Honeyball recently but is back riding for his boss Nicky Henderson here and looks to have a solid chance.
Bothwell Bridge reverted to hurdles last time after failing to complete four times in succession over fences. He looked to appreciate the change and ran well to be a close fifth in a Premier Handicap at Sandown.
He will no doubt appreciate this drop in grade.
