Lafayette High tennis wins; Advances to State Championship

Lafayette High tennis won the final three matches of the day to defeat Corinth 5-2 in the second round of the MHSAA Class 5A playoffs on Tuesday.
With the win, Lafayette advances to the state championship matches which will held beginning Monday at the John Leslie Tennis Courts.
Lafayette will be trying for its fifth state championship in six years when it takes on Brookhaven on Monday at 10:30 a.m. The Commodores defeated Brookhaven in the title match in 2023.
