Mark Harris unconcerned by home leg being first and recent 5-0 win

The U’s welcome Peterborough United to Grenoble Road on Saturday night, before the return fixture takes place the following Wednesday.

Harris, who has been nominated for the League One player of the month award for April, isn’t fussed which way round the games are, and is keen just to get on with things.

Asked whether playing the home leg first is a help or hindrance, he responded: “I don’t think it matters personally. It’s two games and you’ve got to win over them both.

“Whether you play home first or away first, it doesn’t really matter. You’ve got to play them both.

“We’re just making sure we take care of our jobs on Saturday, and then Wednesday, and hopefully it goes our way. Hopefully we put in a performance to take care of the result.”

Harris also brushed off any potential impact that the most recent meeting between the two sides could have, with United battering the Posh 5-0 a little over two weeks ago.

He said: “Forget that because they beat us 3-0 at their ground. They’re a good team, and yeah we beat them 5-0 a couple of weeks back at our place, but I’m sure they’re going to be different.

“It’s going to be a completely different game. There’s a lot riding on it.”
