Suleyman’s father is Syrian taxi driver and his mother is an English nurse. He was raised in the area of Caledonian Road in the London Borough of Islington and lived with his parents and his two younger brothers.
He went to Thornhill Primary School and then studied at Elizabeth’s School, a boys’ grammar school in Barnet. It is during this period when he met his DeepMind co-founder, Demis Hassabis through his best friend, who is Demis’s younger brother

Suleyman assumed leadership of applied AI at DeepMind and took the accountability of incorporating the company’s technology into numerous Google products.
