Following their fourth straight win of the 2023 NFL season, the Denver Broncos (5-5) are considered early 1.5-point betting favorites against the Cleveland Browns (7-3) in Week 12, according to odds from bet365.
The Browns have a better record than the Broncos, but Cleveland is now playing with backup quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson after losing starter Deshaun Watson to a season-ending injury. Watson’s injury, Denver’s winning streak and the fact that the Broncos are playing at home likely led oddsmakers to name Denver a favorite.
The over/under for total points scored between the two teams has been set at 36.5, a testament to how well both clubs have been playing on defense. Last week, the Broncos’ game featured 41 total points and the Browns’ game featured 23 total points.
Denver leads the all-time series against Cleveland 24-7, but the Browns won the most recent meeting 17-14 at home in 2021. The Broncos won the most recent showdown in Denver, a 24-19 victory in 2019.
