Our player ratings after Oxford United reach play-off final

JAMIE CUMMING

Made a super reflex stop in the first half, to deny Josh Knight, and then bettered that with an incredible save in second half stoppage time, to push away a Knight header – 9

FIN STEVENS

Booked in the first half and then taken off at the break in order to wipe out the risk of going down to 10 men. No reflection on him though after a solid showing. BOOKED – 7

ELLIOTT MOORE

Rock solid at the back with another excellent captain’s performance – 8

CIARON BROWN

Not afraid to put his head in where it might hurt, with one particular brave headed block standing out. BOOKED. MAN OF THE MATCH – 9

JOE BENNETT

Immense defensive display at left back. Didn’t put a foot wrong all night, and used all of his experience and knowhow to deal with tricky customer Kwame Poku – 8.5

RUBEN RODRIGUES

Had to play a more disciplined role in midfield, but did so very well in the centre of the park – 7.5

CAMERON BRANNAGAN

Tucked away what was a high-pressure penalty like he was at the training ground – 8

TYLER GOODRHAM

Sad to see him forced off just after the half hour mark, but had been busy in the U’s press before his injury – 6.5

Oxford Mail:

OWEN DALE

Got stuck in and did what he had to do from a defensive viewpoint. Won the free kick which ultimately led to the penalty – 7.5

MARK HARRIS

Hasn’t stopped running all season, and that continued again despite being United’s number nine for most of the campaign. BOOKED – 7.5

JOSH MURPHY

Had his moments, more so in the first half, when he gave the Posh a scare with his frightening pace – 7.5

SUBSTITUTES

Marcus McGuane (for Goodrham, 32)

His engine was much-needed, especially in the second half. Almost put the U’s two ahead on aggregate, but his shot went the wrong side of the post – 7.5

Sam Long (for Stevens, 46)

Made a heroic goal line clearance just as seven minutes of stoppage time were added on at the end – 8

Greg Leigh (for Dale, 79)

Marcus Browne (for Bennett, 86)

Unused: Eastwood, McEachran, Bodin.
