Oxford college to host adult education and careers fair

The event, running from 3.30pm to 6pm, will take place at the City Centre Campus with a focus on accredited courses and adult apprenticeships, among other topics.

The fair aims to provide community members with the necessary support and information they require for job hunting, retraining, or returning to education.

The College’s Adult Education team will guide visitors through an assortment of programmes readily available at the institution, including access to higher education, professional qualifications and more.

The fair will offer solutions for attendees who seek to increase their earning potential, upskill or fight the cost-of-living crisis.

Those interested in higher education will be pleased to note that Activate Learning, associated with the college, achieved university status in 2021 and provides a selection of full- and part-time degree courses.

Furthermore, the Activate Learning Employability team will be present to provide free training with an employability coach.

The coach can assist with job search and interview skills, and reinforce essential job skills to build confidence.

The fair will also feature information about leisure courses in Oxfordshire.

A range of pottery, art and design, bike maintenance, sewing and textiles, jewellery and silversmithing, print making and more are offered.

Visitors are encouraged to register for the fair via Eventbrite.
