There were EF students from across the globe, host families, and teachers and staff at the game.

The student ambassadors led Oxford United onto the pitch.

During halftime, the crowd was entertained by a challenge featuring students from several countries including Algeria, Tunisia, Portugal, Italy, and Turkey.

Rachel Caldas, EF’s director of student services, with host family Alison and Tom Martin, had the job of selecting and presenting the Player of the Match award.

Despite the match not going in favour of Oxford United, the EF team valued the chance to support the club and expressed gratitude for their warm hospitality.

The League One fixture went the way of the visitors after a Daniel Mandroiu penalty just after half time secured all three points.

Lincoln had a player sent off with seven minutes to go, but manged to hold on for the win and end United’s three match winning run.

The college said both they and club look forward to joining forces again in the future.
