Posh waiting on fitness of key wide man before play-off first leg

The 22-year-old claimed 11 goals and seven assists during the regular Sky Bet League One campaign, but missed the final three games of the season with an ankle injury.

Poku came on as a substitute for the Posh in their 4-1 win against Fleetwood Town on April 16, the club’s first game since the 5-0 battering at the hands of Des Buckingham’s United, but has not featured since.

Posh boss Darren Ferguson told the Peterborough Telegraph: “Kwame is looking good, but it will be a late decision on him.

“We can’t take any risks with the possibility of two more games to come.

“David Ajiboye has done very well on the right-hand side in Kwame’s absence though. I’ve been very happy with him. He’s been very disciplined in his approach.

“He’s a very different player in terms of style to Kwame, but he’s been very consistent for us.”

Aside from doubts surrounding striker Jacob Wakeling, who has only made eight league appearances this season, and all from the bench, the Posh have no other injury concerns.
