The Rebels enter Tuesday’s contest with an 25-22 record under head coach Mike Bianco. Bianco, who is in his 27th season as a head coach and 24th with Ole Miss, has amassed a career record of 1004-607-1 and an 904-536-1 record as the Rebels’ skipper.

In their last 10 games, the Rebels are 5-5 with series losses to Georgia and Alabama, yet picked up a series win at Auburn. Ole Miss secured a midweek win over North Alabama and a midweek loss to Mississippi State during that span.

Ole Miss is led offensively by Ethan Lege, Jackson Ross and Andrew Fischer. Lege leads the team with a .323 batting average and 11 doubles. Ross leads the team in runs and walks while holding the second-most doubles and RBIs on Ole Miss’ roster. Fischer leads the Rebels in base hits, triples, home runs, RBIs and slugging percentage. Lege (13), Ross (10) and Fischer (18) are the only players for Ole Miss that have hit double-digit home runs this season.

The Rebels’ pitching staff is led by Riley Maddox, Liam Doyle and Mason Nichols. Maddox has been one of the more enduring arms for Ole Miss in 2024 having thrown the most innings with 52 2/3 in 12 appearances with 11 starts. Doyle has fanned a team-best 70 batters through 43 1/3 innings despite holding a 5.82 ERA and a 2-2 record through nine starts in 13 appearances.

Nichols has four starts in 15 appearances on the mound, yet has a sub-4 ERA through 31 innings and a 4-0 record. The Jackson, Mississippi native has 36 strikeouts on the season and is just one of three players on Ole Miss’ pitching staff with four wins.
