U’s skipper Moore scored the only goal of the game against Peterborough United, when he headed home eight minutes into the second half.
The goal came from a Josh Murphy corner hung deep past the back post, where Cameron Brannagan nodded the ball back across goal for Moore to head in from close range.

“We’d worked on it in training, and I’m very glad it came off,” said Moore.
“When he headed it across, it was in a perfect position. It was an unbelievable feeling to score, not from a personal point of view, but from a team.
“I thought we deserved to go into the lead, and it puts us in good stead for Wednesday.”

He added: “You don’t want to get too high, but it was a great performance from the lads. In the first half, I thought we controlled it very well, and in the second half, we came under a bit of pressure, but we dealt with it with a disciplined performance.
“I thought we dug it out and put in a very disciplined performance. We knew we didn’t need to go two or three-nil up.
“We’ve got a big 90 minutes ahead of us now, and it was about managing the game and taking the advantage onto Wednesday.”
As well as praising his teammates for standing firm in the latter part of the match, Moore also highlighted the pressing done from the front, with Mark Harris leading the charge.
Moore said: “Everyone put in a shift, and I’ll always say this – it doesn’t come from the back four.
“The clean sheet starts with Sparky up top. The pressing was brilliant and makes our life a lot easier, when they do the running that they do. Credit to the team for that.”
