Women’s Basketball Continues NIL Partnership with Oxford Orthopaedic – Ole Miss Athletics – Hotty Toddy

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss women’s basketball announced last year a monumental team-wide NIL deal with Oxford Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine, and that partnership will continue this year, covering each player on the roster.

When announced last year, it was the first team-wide corporate NIL deal for one of Ole Miss’ women’s teams. It was also the first NIL deal run through media rights partner Ole Miss Sports Properties, a division of LEARFIELD.

The deal aims to support women’s basketball athletes through NIL, and head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin said that Year 1 of the deal accomplished that goal and more.

“The success of our Ole Miss Women’s Basketball program provides tremendous Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities for our student-athletes and also shows that corporate partners like Oxford Orthopaedics recognize the value in the platform that is Ole Miss Women’s Basketball and Ole Miss Athletics,” McPhee-McCuin said. “I’ve always supported my players pursuing NIL opportunities, and every member of our current team has a NIL agreement. I very am excited Oxford Orthopaedics is agreeing to continue a NIL relationship with players in our program.”

“Student-Athletes partnering with Oxford Orthopedics not only allow our players to earn a financial benefit, but also demonstrates their ability to represent a trusted brand, which creates tremendous value for our players’ future and even larger opportunities to maximize opportunities through NIL.”

Oxford Orthopaedic is the official orthopaedic team physician for Ole Miss Athletics and has been serving the Oxford community and surrounding area for more than 20 years. Their board certified/eligible physicians and dedicated staff will get you back with personalized programs to help each patient achieve optimal recovery.

As part of the partnership, each athlete will post on social channels with a co-branded message for Oxford Orthopedic highlighting them being the official orthopedic team physicians of Ole Miss. Select players who have used Oxford Orthopaedic will do special insight videos to post on their socials about their experience.
