Wroxton Cricket Club, led by Saj Ahmed for the past 13 years, clinched the South Northants Cricket League Premier Division title after 22 years last weekend.
Having started in the lowest division, the team has grown each year, winning every division and cup within the South Northants Cricket League.
Ahmed, who has won 25 trophies during his time as captain, said Ansar Aslam, Basit Ahmed and Shahnawaz Muhammad, who he has played alongside since the start, were key to the team’s success.
The team can now look to make history by defending their title, or compete in the Cherwell Cricket League, which they applied for earlier this year.
